Charles Lewis Taylor, 83, of Hamilton, passed away on Dec. 20, 2021, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1938, in Hamilton to the late Gaston and Ruby Northington Taylor.
He was a Farmer and was a retired road crew supervisor with the State Highway Department.

Mr. Tommy Hosch, 68, of Brilliant, passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at his residence.  
Mr. Hosch was born on Nov. 13, 1953, to John and Virginia Hosch in Marion County.  
Mr. Hosch attended Winfield City High School and was employed with Marion County Rock for over 20 years.

Lorene Tidwell Lamb

Mrs. Lorene Tidwell Lamb, 95, of Yampertown/Twin, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022.  
Mrs. Lamb was born on July 24, 1926, to William David and Ollie Dee Tidwell. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Lamb was a basketball player, cheerleader and a graduate of Marion County High School. A long-time employee and retiree of Bituminous Insurance in Moline, Ill. Mrs. Lamb loved crocheting, knitting, gardening, studying history, watching westerns and reading.  Mrs. Lamb read every book in the Winfield Public Library.

Marlene Ruth McRight

Marlene Ruth McRight, 76, of Hamilton, passed away on Jan. 5, 2022, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.
She was born Oct. 7, 1945, in Pekin, Ill., to the late Rudolph and Ruth Youle Stolin.
She is survived her daughters - Michelle Cowan and Sheryl (Kevin) Grover; grandchildren - Brett Grover, Jocelynn North, Luke Betchner and Ashlynn Brown; great-grandchildren - Riley Grover, Heath Grover, Hoyt Grover, Shiloh North and Bristol Grover; and sisters - Diane Goss and Sharon Vancleave.

Pamela Webb Webster

Mrs. Pamela Webb Webster, 68, of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, in the Northwest Medical Center.
Mrs. Webster was born on Oct. 26, 1953, to Robert and Pauline Webb in Rock Island, Ill. She was a member of The Oasis Church and a 1971 graduate of Marion County High School. She retired from Wood Perfect Industries after many years of service.

Dorothy Ann Stokes Turner

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Stokes Turner, 75, of Millport, passed away in the Diversicare Health Care facility in Winfield.
Mrs. Turner was born on Feb. 28, 1946, to Chad and Dorothy Stokes in Lamar County.  
She is survived her husband of nearly 58 years - Belton Joe Turner; a daughter - Joanne T. Patrick; son-in-law - Marty Alloway; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents - Chad Stokes and Dorothy Eulene Smith Stokes; a daughter - Donna Jo Turner Alloway; and her son - Danny Joe Turner.

James Sidney Howell

Mr. James Sidney Howell, better known as Bud, 81, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, in the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
Mr. Howell was born on Sept. 8, 1940, to James “Bill” and Irene Howell in Fayette County. He was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and a 1959 graduate of Hubbertville High School. He was the owner/operator of Howell’s Used Cars and JSH Trucking in Winfield for many years. He enjoyed restoring and working on old cars.

Mr. Donald Ray Heard

Mr. Donald Ray Heard, 70, of Guin, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, at his residence.  Mr. Heard was born in Haleyville on Oct. 12, 1951, to the late Wash Junior and Claudean Kimbrell Heard.  
He was a member of the Hamilton Church of God and attended Brilliant High School. He was employed with Continental Conveyor and Equipment Company in Winfield and retired after 43 years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years - Wanda Wakefield Heard; son - Brian (Rhonda) Heard; a grandson - Colton Heard; and his sister - Kathy (Allen) Atkins.

James Thomas Franks

Mr. James Thomas Franks, better known as Tommy, 74, of Brilliant, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at his residence.  
Mr. Franks was born in Brilliant on April 27, 1947, to James and Mary June Franks. He attended the Brilliant United Methodist Church. He was a 1966 graduate of Brilliant High School and later attended and played football at Florence State University (UNA). Mr. Franks was recently inducted into the Marion County Sports Hall of Fame. He was a big fan of Alabama football and he loved to play golf.

Ann Fleming

Ann Fleming, 83, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at her residence.
She was born and raised in Hodges where she attended Wiginton School. She graduated from Hackleburg High School in 1955. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age, which led to many years of teaching Sunday school and directing vacation Bible school. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church (Hodges) for 73 years.

He was born on December 12, 1932.
He has been known as “Chuck,” “Charlie,” “Ray,” or “Rayburn” depending on whether he was known as a work associate, friend, or family member. He was the oldest of six children. He and Charlene have been married for 65 years. He served as a Military Policeman during the Korean War. He often worked two jobs in his earlier adult years in order to support and care for his family.
