Lula “Tootsie” Gann

Lula "Tootsie" Gann, 93, of Guin, passed away on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at her residence.
Born July 29, 1932, in Winfield, she is the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Lola Anna Mobley Miles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Guin, and a member of the Eastern Star of Guin. She worked at Health Tex and moved to Mississippi, there she was the owner of Coral Club, then moved to Vernon and worked at Chromolox, then moved back to Guin.
Tootsie is survived by her daughter, Donna Lee Riddell of Guin; sons, John Wade Gann and James Wesley Gann of Guin; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren
Tootsie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lola Mobley Miles; husband, John Couch Gann; son-in law, Todd Riddell;  brothers, William Miles, Oveat Miles, J.W. Miles, Ray Miles and Edward Miles; sisters, Louise Crews, Claire Laun and Bettye Mae Ripley; one great-grandson, John Wyatt Mosley.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 31, 2025, at Veal Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.  Bro. Shannon Knight officiated.
