William Edward Jeffreys

William Edward Jeffreys, 81, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, in the Diversicare Nursing Home in Winfield. Born Feb. 28, 1944, in Detroit, Ala., he is the son of the late Oscar Lee and Avis Thompson Jeffreys.
He had lived in Detroit and Hamilton most of his life. He was a member of the Christ Community Fellowship Church in Hamilton. He loved going to church and reading his Bible.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherrae Lolley (Steve) of Guin; a son, Nathan Jeffreys (Amanda) of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Natalie Jones (Derick), Hannah Lolley, Andrew Jeffreys and Lily Jeffreys; and two great-grandchildren, Lydia Jones and Eva Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lavern Cantrell and Norma Jean "Polly" Gilmore; and three brothers, Harold, Rex and Larry Jeffreys.
The family will hold private memorial services at a later date.
