Mr. Bobby Wayne Seals, 77, of Guin, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, in the Northwest Medical Center.
Bobby was born in Tyronza, Ark., on May 14, 1947, to Alford and Lillie Marie Gann Seals. He was a 1966 graduate of Winfield High School, and later attended Walker College. Bobby spent much of his life as a business owner.

Clydie Mae Sandlin

Mrs. Clydie Mae Sandlin, 89, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, in the Sunset Manor Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Sandlin was born in Fayette County on Dec. 17, 1935, to Luther and Ida Vickery Youngblood. She spent much of her life as a seamstress in area garment plants. In her spare time, Clydie enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family.

Timmie Pennington

Timmie Lynn ‘Tim’ Pennington, 63, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at Spain Rehab Center in Birmingham.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1961, in Hamilton, to Thomas Pennington and Mary Nell Channell Pennington.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Pennington; son, Jason Pennington (wife, Amber); daughter, Stacey Spann (husband, Lonnie); grandchildren, Austin Cochran, Karley Harris, Drew Spann (Cassandra) and Drake Spann (Kristin); great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jax, Joseph, Jacob and Jordon; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Terence Blane Jenkins, 59, of Castle Rock, Wash., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, in Winfield.
He was born Feb. 15, 1965, in Winfield, to Jerry Lamar and Genny Lee (Stanford) Jenkins. He married Kristine Melissa Bern on June 27, 1987, at Winfield Church of God.

Mr. Truman Ates, 79, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, in the Diversicare Nursing Facility.
Mr. Ates was born in Florida on Aug. 18, 1945, to Wiley and Gracie Ates. He spent much of his life in the construction industry as a project manager.
Mr. Ates is survived by his daughter, Michelle Hennicke (husband George); and grandchildren, Reese, Walt and Mason Hennicke.
Mr. Ates was preceded in death by his wife, Wendi Ates and his parents.

Bo Dodd

Lester Lee Dodd, better known as “Bo”, 87, of Eldridge, passed away on Saturday, Dec.14, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.  Bo was born in Fayette County, on April 17, 1937, to Willard and Katie Tidwell Dodd.  He was a member of the Eldridge Independent Methodist Church and employed with Drummond Coal Co. until his retirement.  Bo was a man of God who loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed Alabama football, dirt track racing, playing his harmonica and traveling.

Bonnie Sue Tucker Davis, 80, passed away on December 13, 2024, at UAB.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1944, and was a 1963 graduate of Hubbertville High School where she graduated with straight A’s and won 1962-1963 Miss Hubbertville FHA. During high school she met and married her high school sweetheart, Paul Glen Davis, with whom she shared over 56 wonderful years of marriage with. Their love story was one of pure devotion and endless love.

Mr. Gary David “Duffy” Prescott, 60, of Rock City, Ala., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at his residence.
Duffy was born in Haleyville, on Dec. 2, 1964, to Robert and Bernice Baccus Prescott. He was a 1983 graduate of Winfield High School. Duffy spent all his adult life as a truck driver. To know Duffy was to love him.  You could always count on getting exactly what you seen and knowing what was on his mind whether you liked it or not. Duffy was very friendly and outgoing. He never met a stranger and loved to joke and cut up with friends.

Ann loved working with flowers in her garden and when she owned Emma-Kate Flower shop for almost 30 years. She loved her church family and helping others.
She was survived by her children, Michelle (Jim) Shaver, of Tuscaloosa, and Scott (Ali) Tyra, of Hamilton; grandchildren, Trey Shaver of Brooklet, Ga., Hunter (Grace) Shaver, of Daphne, Ala., Annsley Tyra, Spencer Tyra and Sawyer Tyra of Hamilton, her sisters-in-law, Hazel Tyra and Shirley Sims; and brother-In-law, Billy Tyra.

Mr. Koester is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Koester; daughter, Rebekah Koester; son, William “Allan” Koester (Monika); his grandson, Spencer; sisters, Connie Koester and Brenda Roberts (Paul); niece, Kyra Pippin (James); nephew, Ernie Koester (Karrie); his fur-babies, Kleokatra and Nesertiti.

Tim Roberts

Mr. Timothy O’Brien Roberts, better known as Tim, 61, of Winfield, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at his residence.
Tim was born in Tampa, Fla., on June 25, 1963, to Henry and Annie Mae Driggers Roberts. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Tim spent much of his life as a truck driver for Trull Building Supply, McCluskey Lumber and most recently L&S Building Supply of Winfield. In his spare time Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Jerry Glenn Vickery

Mr. Jerry Glenn Vickery, 77, of Birmingham, formerly of Brilliant, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, in the UAB West Medical Center.
Jerry was born in Moore House, Missouri on June 17, 1947, to Orbie and Opa Corkren Vickery. He spent much of his life as a Nursing Assistant with Carraway, UAB, and St. Vincent’s Hospitals until his retirement. In his spare time Jerry enjoyed growing flowers, going to yard sales, and traveling.

Izahel Moses Byrd

Mr. Izahel Moses Byrd, 74, of Winfield passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, in the Diversicare Health Care Center in Winfield.
Mr. Byrd was born in Statesboro, Ga., on July 15, 1950, to Curtis and Blondell Kenty Byrd.  Izahel survived in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a “Tunnel Rat”.

Danny Ray Davis

Mr. Danny Ray Davis, 75, of the Hubbertville Community passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, in the Diversicare Health Care Center in Winfield.
Danny was born in Jasper, Ala., on May 8, 1949, to Dan and Mildred Haley Davis. Danny was a member of the Church of Christ and a 1968 graduate of Hubbertville High School. Mr. Davis worked for many years in the coal industry as a heavy equipment operator and was a karate instructor for 42 years.

Billie Jean Doss

Mrs. Billie Jean Doss, 83, of Winfield passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, in the Northwest Medical Center. Billie was born in Winfield on Aug. 1, 1941, to Boss and Elizabeth Tidwell Whitehead. She was a long-time member of Eastside Baptist Church. Billie spent many years employed with Reltoc Manufacturing and later as a shipping and receiving associate with Walmart of Winfield where she later retired. In her spare time Billie enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains, watching Auburn football, and taking care of her beloved cat, Susie.

John Connor Langley, 29, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Dec. 22, 1994, to Timothy Langley and Cynthia Cantrell Brandon.

Ana Laura Lugo Martinez, 6, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024. Ana will be eternally remembered by her mother, Rogelia Martinez; her father, Onesimo Lugo; her siblings, Luis, Roberto, Antonio, Edwardo, and Esmeralda Lugo; her aunt, Maria Martinez; and her cousin, Erica Martinez.

Terri Flippo Richardson

Terri Flippo Richardson, 68, of Guin, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Born February 15, 1956, in Guin, she is the daughter of the late Edsel and Peggy Knight Flippo and wife of the late Randy G. Richardson.  She had lived in Guin all of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Guin.
She is survived by a daughter, Trista Richardson; a son, Tyler Richardson (Devora); a grandson, Dezmond Agnew; brother, Ken Flippo (Jan); along with several other grandchildren.

Mrs. Evelyn Ann Stanford, better known as “Evie”, 81, of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, in the Northwest Medical Center.
Evie was born in Chicago, IL., on Dec. 6, 1942, to Aloysius Thomas and Anna Frances Bogusz Guzowski. She attended Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Schurz High School in Chicago. Evie spent much of her life as a seamstress and sewed for many years with Jan’s Fabric. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
