Mary Fayrene Sullins Wiginton

Mary Fayrene Sullins Wiginton, 94, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, in the North Mississippi Medical Center Nursing Home in Hamilton.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1931, in Marion County, Ala. She is the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Cora Crowe Sullins and the wife of the late Dellie Wiginton. She retired from Munsingwear where she worked in the cutting department for 30 years. She enjoyed being with family and friends, and enjoyed cooking and reading. She treasured her grandson, Coby; great-grandson, Ryker; and great-granddaughter, Elliette Jo.
She is survived by a son, Larry Wiginton (Lisa); grandson, Coby Wiginton; great-grandson, Ryker Wiginton; and great-granddaughter, Elliette Jo Wiginton; sister, Ercell Jackson; sister-in-law, Jewell Sullins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Dellie Wiginton; daughter, Sandra Wiginton; brothers and sisters, Jay Sullins (Sylvia), Coston Sullins (Helen), Cliff Sullins (Della) and Fred Sullins; brother-in-law, Estes Jackson, brother and sisters-in-law, Rose Parker (Loyd), Leona Lindley (Lark), Della Harris (Hobb), Nancy Jones (Cleve), Velma Abbott (Felton) and Olar Sullins.
Funeral services were held Jan. 11, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Hamilton with Bro. Jeremy Sorrells and Bro. Tim Meherg officiating.  Burial followed in the Sullins School House Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at NMMC Nursing Home and the staff of Amedysis Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sullins School House Cemetery.
