Price calls for common sense concerning COVID

WINFIELD -  Winfield Mayor Randy Price has called for the City of Winfield to use common sense when dealing with employees who have been exposed to COVID.
The city council discussed employee exposure issues during a regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Winfield Community Shelter.
“We’re hopefully coming to the end of this, but we need some direction to make some decisions about what our official policy is gonna’ be for employees who are tested positive for COVID or are exposed to someone who is tested positive,” said Winfield city attorney Todd Atkinson.
Winfield city clerk Angie Oliver stated that they haven’t had problems with those who test positive, but are not clear on how to respond to employees who are exposed without being tested.
