Red Raiders slaughter Sumiton Christian Friday

GUIN — Marion County High School ended their football game Friday, Oct. 18, leading 30 points over the Sumiton Christian Eagles at 59-29.
Marion County won the coin toss and received the opening kick off and had the opening lead at 26-0 at the end of the first quarter. Touchdowns were performed by Brodie Moody, Samuel Taylor, Omarion Smith and another by Taylor. Also of note in the first quarter, Ty Hollis had an interception, and Triston Frost got a sack on Sumiton’s Kaden Parrish.
Sumiton had a turnover on downs at the beginning of the second, giving Hollis an opening for another touchdown with a good PAT, widening the lead to 33-0, Marion County. Smith was able to score again, and a no good PAT left the score at 39-0.
