VINA — The Brilliant Tigers varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball teams traveled to Vina on Thursday night, Jan. 10, to play the Red Devils before the winter weather arrived the next day. The Lady Tigers hit the ground running, scoring 25 points in the first quarter and another 20 in the second quarter. At the end of the game, they’d held the Lady Red Devils to 31 points while scoring 70 of their own.

VINA — The Hackleburg Panthers traveled to Vina and shut out the Red Devils 46-0 on Thursday night, Oct. 3.

BEAR CREEK — The Phillips Bears’ home opener didn’t go as they would have liked, thanks in part to a bad case of the penalty bug, which allowed the Vina Red Devils to win 28-6 and start their season 2-0 for the first time since 2005.

VINA — Phillips broke their unlucky streak to come away with their first win of the season at Vina’s homecoming Friday, Oct. 6. They scored 14 points to shut out Vina with 0 points.
