Teresa Gann

Teresa Marie Wilkerson Gann, 56, of Winfield, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. She was born on Aug. 6, 1969, in Marion County, Ala., to Joe and Katie Vickery Wilkerson.
Teresa lived her life with warmth, strength and an unwavering love for her family and friends. She was known for her outspoken nature and her big heart. For many years, Teresa worked as a certified nursing assistant at Golden Living Center in Winfield, where she cared deeply for her residents and treated each with compassion and respect. That same giving spirit extended to her family, especially when she cared for her parents during their illnesses. She was a devoted sister and a loyal friend to many. Her family will always remember her as someone they could turn to for advice, support and laughter. Teresa had a great sense of humor and loved making others smile. Her personality brought joy to every gathering, whether she was teasing her husband, Rodney, or sharing funny stories with her sisters. Teresa also enjoyed cheering on the Auburn Tigers, watching NASCAR, reading romance novels and listening to music.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 32 years, Rodney Gann; her goddaughters, Destiny Davis and Jonah Weeks; her sisters, Belinda Hicks (Ryan) and Ashley Sparks (Jackie Ray); her brother, James Allen Wilkerson; brothers-in-law, Jeff Davis and Tyrell Sparks; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her cousins, Justin Vickery and Katrinia Crumpton, and her beloved dog, Tanner.
Funeral services for Teresa were held on Oct. 17, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Liberty Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
