Reaves named 2019 Miss Hamilton


Lauren Reaves of Alexandria (left) was crowned Miss Hamilton 2019 on Sunday, Sept. 30. Destiny Schatzline of Tuscaloosa (right) was also named 2019 Miss Outstanding Teen. Both winners are pictured with 2019 Miss Alabama Callie Walker, who acted as mistress of ceremonies for the pageant.

HAMILTON - The 35th annual Miss Hamilton Pageant culminated in the crowning of Lauren Reaves of Alexandria as the 2019 Miss Hamilton, as well as showcasing dynamic performances from outgoing titleholders--2018 Miss Hamilton Bethany Knight and 2018 Miss Outstanding Teen Meg Bowen.
The pageant, which took place in the Bevill State Community College - Hamilton Campus Auditorium on Sunday, Sept. 30, had a theme that paid tribute to Broadway, “I Dreamed a Dream.”

Knight earns awards at Miss Alabama


Miss Hamilton 2018 Bethany Knight was awarded one of five non-finalist talent awards at Miss Alabama in June. This award and scholarship recognizes individuals with high talent scores during the competition.

HAMILTON - Miss Hamilton 2018 earned scholarships and awards at the 2018 Miss Alabama Pageant at Samford University on June 6-9.  
Bethany Knight, daughter of Keith and Kay Knight, was awarded $2,250 in scholarship money. She was the recipient of the Heather Whitestone, Miss America 1995 scholarship and received an in-kind scholarship to the University of Alabama.
