Brenda Joyce Rayburn

Brenda Joyce Rayburn, 78, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at her son’s residence in Sulligent. Brenda was born on March 17, 1948, in Marion County, Ala., to the late John Ellus Finch and the late Bertie Nell Miles Finch.
Brenda was a 1967 graduate of Hamilton High School and earlier attended Byrd School. She retired after a lengthy career in the banking industry, working for Wells Fargo Bank in Hamilton. She always wore a smile on her face and enjoyed the daily conversations with her customers and co-workers. She loved red roses and enjoyed researching genealogy. Her bright spirit and loving heart will forever be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Andrea Leigh Rayburn-Thomas (Derek Kimbrough); sons, Tommy Shannon Rayburn (Sherry) and Jon Rayburn (Angie); grandchildren, Andrew Cochran, Samantha Howard (Corey), Lucas Irvin, Elijah Rayburn and Layla Rayburn; great-grandchildren, Brylee Kate, Camden, Kyler and Baylor; brother, Wayne Finch (Deb); sister, Linda Hawkins (Jimmy); and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy Hue Rayburn; mother-in-law, Exie Lee Craig; and father-in-law, Alvin Craig.
Funeral services were held on May 5, 2026 at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Hamilton Memory Gardens. Bro. Jeremy Hollis officiated.
Pallbearers were Lucas Irvin, Corey Howard, Camden Howard, Brandon Finch, Keith Finch and Derek Kimbrough. Honorary pallbearer was Andrew Cochran.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Enhabit Hospice and caregiver, Sherry Hayes.
