HAMILTON — With some cold rain, freezing rain and a chance of ice and snow in the forecast for Marion County, EMA Director Russ Taylor held a weather briefing for local and county officials, law enforcement and first responders in the EMA Emergency Operations Center at the new jail on Thursday, Jan. 22.
The Marion County Commissioners mentioned during the meeting they would share their resources to help out each others’ districts, with commissioner Larry Akers noting, “We’re all in this together.”
During the briefing, Taylor remarked on the tremendous amount of support he’s seen Marion County show to its people since he’s been the director.
Taylor also said it was nice to see everyone in a casual setting, versus seeing each other in their usual emergency response situations.
With officials and authorities still in response mode as of presstime Monday, the JR will share more in the next issue.
