Stanley Dwight Herren Sr.
Mr. Stanley Dwight Herren Sr., 72, of Brilliant, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mr. Herren was born in Fayette, Ala., on Oct. 28, 1952, to Charles Albert Sr. and Bobbie McCaleb Herren.
He attended Hubbertville High School and later earned his GED. Stanley worked for many years with Continental Conveyor as a maintenance foreman until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed Alabama football, computer technology and spending time with his family and two dogs, Bama and Dolly.
Mr. Herren is survived by his son, Dwight Herren; his sister, Amelia Tucker (Jimmy); brothers-in-law, Mark Conway (Lisa) and Danny Conway; nieces and nephews, Annette Dozier, Glennette Barnes (Rusty), Wade Tucker (Gina), Amber Niday (Joey), Jamie Hawkins (Dustin), Chris Herren, Wayne Herren (Ingrid), Bobbie Base and Darlene Detlefson; and a host of other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Herren was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Herren; two infant sons, Brian and Patrick Herren; brother, Charles Albert Herren Jr.; and sister, Julia Faye Jones.
Funeral services for Mr. Herren were held on Oct. 22, 2025, at the Miles Memorial Funeral Home with burial following in the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
