Hoyt Lindley
Mr. Hoyt Lindley, 95, of Guin, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025, at his residence in Guin.
Born July 25, 1930, in Red Bay, he is the son of the late William and Ruth Mae Garrison Lindley. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Mae Shirley Lindley of Guin. He served in the navy during the Korean War. He was a volunteer fireman, served on the city council for the City of Guin, served on the Guin Water Board and a Jack of All Trades and a Master of None. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Guin.
He is survived by a daughter, Melinda, (Keith) Bush of Huntsville, Ala.; a son, Michael K. (Kathleen C.) Lindley of Lafayette, Ind.; five grandchildren, Jordan Bush, Jaden Bush, Beth Lindley, Matt Lindley and Laura Kilmer; and a great-grandchild, Eleanor Kilmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his son, Alan; and daughter, Donna.
Funeral services were held Aug. 10, 2025, at First Baptist Church with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Zane Miles officiated.
