GUIN — The Marion County High School Red Raiders fought through the rain and mud to beat the South Lamar Stallions 24-14 on Friday night, Sept. 13.
The Raiders took the lead in the first half, going into the locker room with a 24-7 lead over the Stallions.
The Stallions came out of the gate kicking in the second half. A series of penalties and a few big runs took them down the field quickly. On second and third from around the Raiders’ 10-yard line, South Lamar got a man through and into the end zone with 8:24 left in the third quarter.
