Boil advisory lifted at Brilliant

BRILLIANT — On Thursday, July 16, the Town of Brilliant posted images of clean water samples and results and announced that the precautionary boil water advisory had been lifted after repairing a few leaks in its water line week before last. The samples shown above were tested through Pace Analytical Services, LLC, of Tuscaloosa, and were free from coliforms and E.coli, bacteria, according to the report. Samples included water from the main water tank and the Pisgah water tank, collected on July 13. According to Brilliant Mayor Perry Franks, work was being completed on replacing a pump when a 6-inch water main burst. After it was fixed, another 6-inch water main leak was discovered and subsequently fixed.
