Ernest Arlon Foster
Mr. Ernest Arlon Foster, 79, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Foster was a 1966 graduate of Winfield High School and a member of the Marion County Sports Hall of Fame.
Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Williams Foster; his son, Ernest Foster of Roswell, Ga.; a daughter, Rebekah Foster White (Greg) of Kimberly, Ala.; his grandsons, Garrett White of Kimberly and Braden White of Alpharetta, Ga.; his sister, Juanita Foster of Winfield; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Erma Dell Dobbs Foster; his brothers, Charlie, Ruble, Lendell, Emmett and J.D.; his sisters, Betty Jo Cummings and Willa Dean Williams; and three infant siblings, Leonard, Edward and Jimmy.
Funeral services for Mr. Foster will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Griggs Place Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
