Edna Earl Spiller Sprinkle, 84, of Brilliant, was called home by her Lord and Savior on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024.
Edna Earl was born on April 16, 1940, to her loving parents, Earl and Mary Ethel Warren Spiller. Edna Earl married the greatest love of her life, Clayburn Sprinkle, on Nov. 27, 1969, the two had 40 wonderful years together. Although she had no children of her own, Edna Earl demonstrated her servant’s heart by caring for countless children who affectionately knew her as “Mawmaw Earl.” Edna Earl walked through life with unending grace and kindness, loving without failure or expectation. The love she gave to her friends and family could only be rivaled by her love for Jesus Christ. The warmth she exuded and the kindness she showed will carry on in the lives of the children she raised, the friends she made, the family she cherished, and any person who had the joy of meeting her even if only briefly.
Edna Earl is survived by her sister, Judy Smith; her brother, Ronald Dale Spiller; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Ann Seaborn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayburn; parents; sister, Carol Ann Pollard; brothers, Larry, Henry, and David Spiller; as well as great-nephew Hayden Spiller.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sprinkle were held on Dec. 20, 2024, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
