John David Coker, 55, of Winfield, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024. John was born in Miami, Fla., on Nov. 6, 1969, to Guy Coker and Joann Wood Lott. He was a member of Grace Life Church and a 1987 graduate of Winfield High School. John was employed with Bolzoni Auramo in Sulligent as a machinist. In his spare time, John enjoyed working on cars, watching Alabama football, listening to music, taking care of his animals and especially spending time with his grandson. John possessed an extraordinary love for life, family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Denise Coker; mother, JoAnn Lott; stepdaughter, Ashley Crosby (Tyler); grandson, Tyson Crosby; fur babies, Mi’cah and Mittens; and a host of other family members and friends.
John was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donnie Lott; and his best friend, Phil Haynes.
Funeral services for John were held on Nov. 16, 2024, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.
