Mrs. Annell Burleson, 86, of Brilliant, Ala., passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Burleson was born in the Sunny Home area on April 16, 1936 to Walter Fred and Ceilie Tittle Lambert. Annell attended Brilliant High School and was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ. She and her family have owned and operated B&B Lumber near Brilliant for the last 30 years. Mrs. Burleson enjoyed sewing and working in her flower beds. She and her husband also loved to travel and spend time at the lake.
Mrs. Burleson is survived by her husband of 68 years, Woodrow Burleson; son, Tommy Burleson (Shirley); daughter, Teresa Burleson (Sharon); grandson, Kevin Burleson (Shay); sister, Vernell Hulsey; special friend, Kathy Burleson; caregiver, Paulette Cantrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burleson was preceded in death by her grandson, Bartley Craig Burleson; brothers, Troy and Otis Lambert; nephews, Shane and Ricky Lambert; and nieces, Martha and Angie Burleson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burleson were held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Brock Church of Christ Cemetery.
