A 49-year-old man from Bear Creek was killed in a single-vehicle wreck last Wednesday morning (July 28), according to Alabama State Troopers.
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, has claimed the life of a Bear Creek man,” Senior Trooper Gregory Corble said. “Jeremy Poston, 49, was killed when the 1988 Jeep Wagoneer he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.”
Poston was pronounced deceased on the scene. Corble said the crash occurred on Highway 253 at the 19 mile-marker approximately fourteen miles east of Hamilton.
No further information is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
