Pyron Among Alabama Athletes on SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

TUSCALOOSA - For the sixth year in a row, The University of Alabama led the Southeastern Conference's Spring Academic Honor Roll, earning 151 accolades, the league office announced Thursday, July 1.
Braden Pyron, 21,   son of Blaine and Valarie Pyron of Guin, was named  among the Alabama Athletes on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Pyron throws javelin for the Crimson Tide’s mens track and field team. As a freshman, Pyron secured a seventh-place finish in the javelin throw at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays with a mark of 57.41 meters. He opened his collegiate career with a tenth-place finish in javelin with a mark of 51.31m at the Tiger Track Classic
In high school, Pyron won the Overall Bryant-Jordan Scholar Athlete in 2019. His personal best in javelin during his prep career was 57 meters.
