Lancaster legacy lives on through scholarship

Since 2003, the Jerry Lynn Smith Lancaster Scholarship is granted annually to a female Marion County High School (MCHS) graduate in her name. Rachael P. Foster has been named the 2020 recipient of the scholarship.
Jerry Lynn Smith Lancaster (1944-2002) was a member of  MCHS class of 1962. Her portrait hangs in the MCHS front lobby along with a plague describing her achievements that can be an example to a young female graduate that anything is possible.
