Marion County Resource & Job Fair to be held Sept. 15 at Bevill

HAMILTON — The Bevill State Community College Division of Workforce Solutions and A-RESET will host the Marion County Resource & Job Fair next Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bevill Business & Community Center on the Hamilton campus of BSCC.
Workforce Solutions Director Amanda Clement Tice noted, “Anyone can attend. The job fair is open to everyone interested in resources, education or employment.”
She explained A-RESET stands for Alabama Resources for Enrichment, Self-Sufficiency and Employability Training. The program is Alabama's official employment and training initiative for SNAP or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients.
“We have also booked the mobile simulators and training trailers from the Alabama Community College System Innovation Center to showcase many of the ‘Skills for Success’ training classes that Bevill State offers in partnership with the Innovation Center,” she said.
“In Marion County, we have had classes in ‘Skid Steer, Bulldozer, Excavator, Mental Health Worker and CDL Class A.’ Our first ‘Nursing Support Technician’ class in Marion County will soon take place at Winfield City Career and Technical Academy.
