Miss Hamilton shares platform with city council; ‘Bullying Prevention Day’ proclaimed

HAMILTON — At its Monday, March 16, meeting, the Hamilton City Council welcomed Miss Hamilton 2026 Liliana Geier, who presented information on her anti-bullying program and a proclamation the mayor signed designating that day as “Bullying Prevention Day” in the City of Hamilton.

HAMILTON — Miss Hamilton Pageant Director MacKenzie Vann recently shared photos and information with the Journal-Record about the winners of the Miss Hamilton and Miss Hamilton’s Teen Pageant, who were crowned on Sunday, Sept. 21, during the 51st annual event held at the Bevill Building in Hamilton.

HAMILTON — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Miss Hamilton, Chandler Mordecai, attended the Hamilton City Council meeting to voice her support of those who have been deeply affected by domestic abuse.
Mordecai, a Winfield native, started the initiative “Victory Over Domestic Violence” in 2014, which aims to help individuals who are in need due to situations of domestic violence.

HAMILTON — Miss Hamilton, Emee Baldwin, and Miss Hamilton’s Outstanding Teen, Harper Howard, attended the Hamilton City Council to speak to the mayor and council about their time in Hamilton and their goals after winning the competitions.

Winkler is crowned Miss Hamilton 2020

HAMILTON - Ashlyn Winkler has been crowned as the new Miss Hamilton 2020 during the annual pageant. 
Winkler is from Dora and attends the University of Montevallo. She majors in speech-language pathology, which correlates to her platform statement, “Shining a Light on Autism Acceptance.”
Samantha Hennings became the newly-crowned Miss Outstanding Teen 2020. Hennings is from Springville and is a junior at Victory Chrisitan School. Her platform is “Just Breathe,” which helps to bring a light to mental illness, but more specifically, anxiety and depression.
