Marion County - Rankin Fite Airport hosting plethora of planes

HAMILTON — The Marion County - Rankin Fite Airport is the temporary home of several planes as Sanders Flight Training out of Jasper uses the facility for the next few months.
Sanders’ usual home runway in Jasper is being resurfaced, which has brought them to Hamilton in the meantime.
Planes began arriving week before last, and the sound of engines has filled the skies over Hamilton as training flights take flight and land again throughout the day.
Sanders offers a variety of training and certification programs for pilots as an FAA Part 141 and Part 61 training center.
They offer courses for private pilot certificates, instrument ratings, commercial pilots for single or multi-engine planes, certified flight instructors (CFI and CFII), as well as multi-engine instructors.
