Brenda Joan Foster, 78, of Fayette, Ala., passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Joan was born in Haleyville, Ala., on July 8, 1947, to Vado Kivette and Ida Mae Estes.
Joan was a lifelong resident of Alabama. She was a God-fearing woman who cherished the time spent with her family. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading and watching soap operas on television. Joan will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her daughter, Rene Roberts (Bobby) of Cypress, Texas; her son John Foster Jr. of Winfield; her grandchildren, Megan Moore (Monroe), Dylan Foster (Shanda), Logan Junkin (Mary), Graham Junkin, Josh Bobo, Savannah Bowling (Nathan) and Bethanie Foster (Jared); her great-grandchildren, James Foster, Izzy Taylor, Ella Moore, Kai Brown, Emmitt Junkin and Ryker Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Foster; her parents; and two siblings.
A private family memorial service was held in honor of Mrs. Foster.
