Carol Ice

Carol Margene (Beck) Ice passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025. She was born in Walker County in 1943.
In 1960, she married her husband, Leonard Lee Ice, on Aug. 26. They decided to move their family to Guin, Ala., in 1969. She worked at Munsingwear, Heath-Tex and Northwest Alabama Mental Heath where she retired in 2013.
She found joy in watching Hallmark movies, The Voice and working on crossword puzzles. She also cherished her family. She especially loved her great-grandchildren. She was very well-known and loved by the people of Guin.
She is preceded in death by husband, Leonard Lee Ice; parents, Margie Will Swindle Beck and Charles Eugene Beck (Buster); and siblings Jerry Beck and Buddy Beck.
Her survivors include two sons, Randy Ice of Guin and Rodney Ice (Brittany Ice) of Hartselle; seven grandchildren, Ashley Ice (Nick Wallace), Alisha Ice (Dewayne Harbin), Tanner Ice, Chrissy Hill (late Russ Hill), Maggie Ice, Aubry Ice and Destin Cornhill; nine great-grandchildren, Macy Merchant (Jesse Merchant), Laken Wallace, Dearioh Lipsey, Ally Guin, London Wallace, Legend Wallace, Leif Wallace, Gabriel Hardin and Legacy Wallace; one great-great-grandchild, Ryker Merchant; two sisters-in-law, Alice Beck and Diana Beck, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Dec. 26, 2025, at Veal Memorial Funeral Home with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro Zane Miles officiated.
Pallbearers were Nick Wallace, Dewayne Harbin, Jimmy Wallace, Bruce Burnett, Lee Henson and Jesse Silvers.
