CHEROKEE — The Phillips Bears went on a long road trip to Cherokee High School Friday, Oct. 4, a trip that appeared at first as if it would be a highly successful one. However, a tough fourth quarter made the trip home even harder, as the Bears lost 34-19.

CHEROKEE — Hackleburg has made their ninth win in a row, is now 9-1 (7-0) in 1A Region 8 play and will enter the first round of playoffs Thursday night at home against Marion County. Hackleburg came away with a 41-6 win over Cherokee Thursday, Nov. 2.
