Allen Cantrell
Eddie Allen Cantrell, better known as Allen, 59, of Haleyville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in the Arabelle Health and Rehab Center in Russellville.
Allen was born on Sept. 6, 1965, in Hamilton, to Henry Cantrell and Lynda Cantrell Barber. He was a 1984 graduate of Lincoln Park High School in Lincoln Park, Mich. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, watching Michigan State football and Detroit Lions baseball and riding motorcycles. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his mother, Lynda Barber; daughter, Elizzabeth Shaw and her husband Neal; his aunts, Emogene Hunsinger, Margaret McKinney and Martha Miles (Jimmy Dale); and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Cantrell; grandparents, Dewey and Mary Ellin Cox and David and Rosa Lee Cantrell; aunts, Mary Lou Burnett, Ann Fleming, Polly Barnwell and Kay Scott; and uncles, Wyndell Cantrell and Junior, Billy, Larry and Charles Cox.
Funeral services for Allen were held on April 24, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Old Line Cemetery near Hodges.
