WINFIELD - The Winfield City Board of Education voted in its Tuesday, July 13, meeting to name Randy Thomley as interim superintendent and Adam Aldridge as the new high school principal. The appointments come after multiple resignations from school faculty across all three schools.
Thomley said he was both “forlorn and enlivened” by the decision following former superintendent Chris Cook’s resignation.
“I know there’s a big challenge in front of us,” he said. “But I want to do the very best job for our boys and girls of Winfield and I look forward to working with our school board and this great faculty, staff and students. I consider it an honor and I’m very humbled by it.”
