Regenia Wisecarver; running for Hamilton City Council Place #2.
HAMILTON — My name is Regenia Wisecarver, and I’m proud to be running for Hamilton City Council, Place 2. I was raised in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School. I earned my nursing degree from Northwest Alabama Community College and later completed a bachelor of science in healthcare from St. Francis University. I spent over 35 years serving others as a registered nurse—a career built on compassion, quick thinking and creating solutions. During my nursing career, I developed leadership, communication and listening skills that I will continue to use for the people of the City of Hamilton.
Throughout my life, Hamilton has always been home. Even during the years my work took me elsewhere, I stayed closely connected to the people, events and the place I love. My brother, Tommy (Kris) Wisecarver, my niece Lacey and my nephew Layton are all lifelong residents, and our family’s roots run deep in this community. After retiring, there was no question that Hamilton was where I wanted to be full-time.
I believe in giving back. I volunteer with Hoof or Paw Animal Rescue, helping care for animals in need, and I serve as treasurer of the Marion County Historical Society, working to preserve our local heritage. For the past 35 years, I’ve also dedicated one week each year to international medical mission work, providing care to underserved communities around the world.
Now, I’m ready to serve Hamilton in a new way. I’m committed to supporting local businesses and industries while welcoming smart, responsible growth. I want to help ensure our hospital and Bevill State Community College continue to thrive. I’m also focused on addressing our city’s water challenges and increasing transparency in local government. Most importantly, I will actively pursue new opportunities for Hamilton and work hard to ensure we take full advantage of those already in front of us.
Hamilton is a community I love deeply, and I would be honored to represent and serve the people who make it special. I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, August 26th. Let’s move Hamilton forward—together. Vote Wise!
