Aggies take both games against Curry

HAMILTON — Both Hamilton’s boys and girls basketball teams picked up a win against visitors Curry on Friday night in the Hamilton High School gym.
The night for varsity basketball kicked off with a huge win for the Lady Aggies.
Hamilton started off a bit slow against Curry, making a few mistakes on the transition but were still able to keep ahead 15-9 after the first quarter.
Hamilton was able to start gaining a slow advantage in the second with the score reading 29-16.

Lady Aggies win against rival Haleyville

HALEYVILLE — The Hamilton Aggies varsity boys basketball team fell to rivals Haleyville on Thursday, Jan. 12, in Haleyville.
Hamilton’s boys came into the game with a 3-9 record, having only beaten a few teams in their regular season.
Hamilton’s struggles on both ends of the court continued in their game against Haleyville as the team lost 68-34.
Hamilton’s record currently stands at 3-11, following last week’s three straight losses against Cordova, Haleyville and Marion County High School.

Aggies back to winning ways

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Aggies bounced back to winning ways after their win against Sulligent on Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Hamilton.
Hamilton suffered three losses in a row, one of which was to Sulligent, before their rematch against the Blue Devils.
Hamilton and Sulligent were very close in the game, but Hamilton was able to pull away in the later stages of the game with a couple of big three pointers.
Both the Aggie fans and players were pumped up towards the later stages of the game with a rare victory in this season in sight.

Aggies end season with loss to Fayette

HAMILTON — Hamilton ended their season on another loss this past Friday as the Fayette Tigers came to visit Sargent Stadium.
Hamilton came into the game with a 1-8 record and struggled to get things going throughout the season.
In the first quarter of the game, Fayette scored a touchdown just about six minutes in.
Two minutes into the second quarter, Fayette added to their lead with another touchdown.

Aggies struggle against Dora Friday night

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Aggies struggled to capitalize on last week’s victory with a big loss to Dora on Friday night away from home.
Hamilton, who came into the game on just a 1-5 record, was looking to improve their form in the final four games of the season.
Just a couple of minutes into the game, Dora opened the scoring and added on a second touchdown shortly after.
Following a short drive from the Aggies, Dora added to the score with another touchdown after a 16 yard run.

Aggies snap losing streak against Curry

JASPER — The Hamilton Aggies were finally able to end their losing streak with a big win against the Curry Yellow Jackets in Jasper Friday, Sept. 30, with a score of 40-24
Hamilton opened the scoring and scored 16 points in the first quarter of the game.
They continued their scoring form with a touchdown in the second quarter of the game but were unable to keep Curry quiet as they scored a touchdown of their own.

Blue Devils spoil Aggies Homecoming

BRILLIANT —  The Hamilton Aggies had a good night spoiled after losing to the Cordova Blue Devils in their Homecoming game.
The community in Hamilton was out in full force for the big occasion, but the festivities didn’t last long after Hamilton struggled yet again defensively as they continued their winless run in the beginning of the season.

Aggie fight not enough in Gardendale

GARDENDALE — The Hamilton Aggies suffered their third consecutive loss of the season, falling away from home to Oak Grove in Gardendale on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The game was originally set to be played in Bessemer, but due to work being done to the field at Oak Grove, the game was moved to Gardendale.
The Aggies lost by a score line of 27-14 in Hamilton’s first Thursday night game of the season.

Football kicks off this week for area schools
