MARION COUNTY — A fast-moving storm passed through Marion County on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, dealing some damage to a few homes and knocking out power in parts of the county.
Marion County was placed under a tornado warning that night, which was issued by the National Weather Service at 9:48 p.m. after radar detected rotation.
The warning was in effect until 10:30 that night.
According to National Weather Service reports, a home in the Brilliant area was damaged by a falling tree, along with some other tree-related damage on County Highway 68 near Brilliant.
There were also reports of a tree on a home in Hamilton, and multiple power poles down around County Highway 58 in Guin.
