Billy Joe Burleson, 89, of Brilliant, passed from this life on Oct. 11, 2022, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born on June 17, 1933, at the Sunny Home Community to the the late Orbie Dell and Velma Barton Burleson. He was the owner and Operator of his own trucking company. He was a faithful member of the Whitehouse Church of Christ.
He is survived by his children - Billy Wayne (Martha) Burleson, Danny (Tammy) Burleson and Jowana (Danny) Hosch; son-in-law - David Brown; grandchildren - Joseph (Cynthia) Burleson, Whitney (Kyle) Franks, Jonathan Burleson, Dan Hosch and Deleta (Brett) Vick; great-grandchildren - Braden Burleson, Kylie (Nicklas) Smith, Kollier Franks, Carson Burleson, Emma Grace, Ella Kate and Eli Hosch, London and Kinsley Vick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife - Emma Jean Burlson; and daughter - Michelle Brown.
A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Burleson, Dan Hosch, Braden Burleson, Kollier Franks, Kyle Franks, Brett Vick, Will Sims and David Sims.
