Beth Nix

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Nix, 60, of Winfield, passed away on August 14, 2024, in the UAB Medical Center. Mrs. Nix was born in Illinois on May 25, 1964, to Don and Jackie Hawkins Johnson. She was a member of the Marion County Cowboy Church. Beth spent much of her life as a homemaker caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and cleaning, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Beth is survived by daughters, Tosha Nix (Justin) and Danielle Busby (Josh); son, Dakota Nix (Ariel); stepsons, Jeremy Nix (Alisha), Brandon Nix, and Bruce Fosse; grandchildren, Trenton, Abigail, Kaydance, Tyler, Hunter, Carrington, Kaidence, Ricklyn, Kason, Remington, Jaxson, Charleigh, Tristin, Jaela, Caleb, Kathan, Avery, Wyatt, Ayden, Jordan, Conner, Baylie, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Theo and Risae; brothers, Ronald Johnson (Karen), Donald Johnson (Stacey), and Patrick Johnson (Shelly); sisters, Teresa King (Lonnie), Tiffany Johnson, and Danielle Johnson; fur baby Sugar; special relatives, Nicole Fosse and Major Raper; special friends, Carol Armstrong and Ashlyn Craig; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Nix; son, Ricky Fosse; and grandparents, Louie and Geneva Hawkins, and Woodrow and Ludene Johnson.
Funeral services for Beth were held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens.
