Dorothy Lindley, 88, of Guin passed away August 15, 2024, in the Huntsville Hospital.
Born November 22, 1935, in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Kirksie Underwood Shirley and the Wife of Hoyt Lindley. She lived in Guin most of her life and worked as a cook at the Guin Hospital and Sunset Manor Nursing Home before retiring. She was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Lindley of Guin; daughter, Melinda, (Keith) Bush; son, Michael K. Lindley (Kathleen C.) all of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Jordan Bush, Jaden Bush, Beth Lindley, Matthew Lindley and Laura Kilmer; great-grandchild, Eleanor Kilmer; and a brother, Floyd G. Shirley (Shirley A.) of Brilliant.
She was also preceded in death by son, Alan Lindley; daughter, Donna Carol Lindley; sister, Levonnie Self; and grandchild, Joshua Keith Bush.
Services were held Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Guin First Baptist Church with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Zane Miles officiated.
