Joy Robinson

Joy Fay Smith Robinson peacefully departed this life at home on June 17, 2024. She was a gentle soul and a devoted woman of God whose quiet strength and unwavering faith touched the hearts of who knew her. Joy cherished her family and friends deeply, finding joy in every moment spent with them. Her love was a beacon of warmth and kindness, always ready with a comforting word or a listening ear. She was greatly devoted to her bible study group, the Lady Birds, who provided a pillar of support and encouragement throughout her life.
He life was a testament to her faith, exemplifying compassion, humility and a steadfast belief in God's love. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she left behind.
Joy leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to inspire and guide us. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by children, Jeffrey "Bo" Robinson (Terri), Lana McNees (Mac), Stevie Robinson (Alisa), Chris Robinson (Tanya); sisters, Frankie Jones and Druellen Northam; sisters-in-law, Rhemel Smith, Brenda Collum and Jenny Joiner; brother-in-law, David Robinson; grandchildren, Courtney Robinson, Calen Weston (Matt); Sydney Holliday (Tyler), Jake Robinson, Mollie Holland (Cody), Chandra Bennett (Casey), James McNees III (Tamika) Courtney Kelley (Heath); great-grandchildren, Camden Robinson, Myles Harrington, Hadlee Kate Chambless, Wells Weston and Kross and Stevie Jo Holliday, Alexis Fuller (Garrett), Emma Nash (Howie), Amelia Grace and Ellie Mae Bennett, Easton Kelley; great-great-grandchild, Aidan Fuller; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Robinson; her parents, Luey & Inez Byrd Smith; and her brothers, Harold Smith and Jerry Smith.
May her soul find eternal peace in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Bexar Methodist Church. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
