Emma Jean Sanderson, 85, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at her residence.
Born February 24, 1939, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Daniel and Ruby Hazel Mobley McDaniel and the wife of Marlis Eugene Sanderson. She lived in Orange Beach and Hamilton most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gene Sanderson; daughter, Teresa Hammitte (Mark); sons, Scotty Sanderson (Leslie) of Hamilton and Allen Sanderson (Karen) of Birmingham; six grandchildren, Hannon McDaniel Sanderson (Hannah), Harris Mobley Sanderson (Leah), Peyton Sanderson, Gracie Sanderson, Zachary Hammitte (Taylor) and Jennifer Bryant (Zach); two great-grandchildren, Liam Bryant and Lettie Bryant; and sister, Nancy Wilbanks (Dale) of Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her Brother, Danny McDaniel.
Services were held May 24, 2024, at the First Baptist Church Hamilton with burial in the Hamilton City Cemetery. Bro. Hannon Sanderson and Bro. Jeremy Sorrells officiated.
