Kathy Yvonne Pounders, 73, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at NMMC-Tupelo.
She was born in Alabama on August 09, 1950, to Hubert Cochran and Nola McCarley Cochran.
Kathy is survived by two sons, Barry Pounders (Dorothy) and Kevin Pounders; her grandchild, Brayden Pounders; brother, Anthony Cochran; sisters, Barbara Cochran, Linda Ballard, Hilda Emerson and Frances Barnwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Pounders; parents, Hubert and Nola (McCarley) Cochran; and nephew, Brent Ballard.
Services were held on May 25, 2024, at Marion County Funeral Home, and Bro. Terry Parrish officiated. Interment was held at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
