ARLEY — The Hackleburg Panthers traveled this week to Arley but came away with the 24-8 win this time, over the Meek Tigers on Friday, Sept. 1.
The Tigers are now 1-1 on the season, after defeating the Maplesville Red Devils 18-12 in game one.
Game two, which the Tigers hosted in pouring rain on a soggy field, started out strong for the home team, as they recovered a Panther fumble in the end zone for the score and got the two-point conversion. After that, it was a Panther-dominated ball game.
On the night, the Meek Tigers had 12 first downs and rushed 47 times for 199 yards.
