FLORENCE — The Hamilton Lady Aggies have had a great start to their season gaining nine wins in their first ten games.
This season featured an over seven game winning streak including a 5-3 win against North Marion County neighbors Hackleburg on Tuesday, March 7.
The Hamilton Lady Aggies had an eventful weekend this last week as they took part in the Times Daily Tournament on Saturday, March 18, in Florence.
Hamilton began their day facing off against Lawrence County, where they narrowly lost to their opposition by two runs to three.
Hamilton responded to their early defeat well against Mars Hill in a game where they were victorious 8-4.
The game featured home runs from Lady Aggies Ella Kelley and Addi Wilson.
The Lady Aggies suffered a heavy 15-0 defeat against Brooks, but were yet again able to respond well in their last game of the night against Lexington.
The Lady Aggies won the game 7-3 and were able to get another home run in the tournament, this time from Emily Jones.
Hamilton’s record now sits at 10-4 for the season as they prepare for the next game against Florence, a game that has not occurred as of press time on Monday, March 20.
Hamilton will also be in action against Carbon Hill, Cordova and rivals Haleyville on the week of Monday, April 3.
