Page, Colburn encouraged by trip to United Sates Capitol

Marion County officials took their yearly trip to Washington, D.C., on July 27-29 during a trip sponsored by the North Alabama Council of Local Governments (NACOLG).

The group included several local officials, including Hamilton Mayor Bob Page and Hackleburg Mayor Darryl Colburn, who both spoke to the Journal Record about the trip on Aug. 23.
Page stated that, during the trip, he and other Marion County officials were able to speak to representatives of Congressman Robert Aderholt and the group was able to meet with U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville and Congressman Mo Brooks.
Page stated that officials held talks with Aderholt representatives concerning the American Rescue Act funds and how they can be used.
