MARION COUNTY - The Marion County Commission urges citizens to be diligent in their efforts to stay informed and to participate in mitigation activities to help reduce the exposure and spread of COVID-19, commonly referred to as the coronavirus.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the most effective measures are consistently keeping your hands and face clean with sanitizer or frequent washing, covering coughs and sneezes, staying home if individuals experience a fever or difficulty breathing, and checking on family members who are at risk of contracting the virus.
County officials are implementing plans for providing public access to government resources and continuing those services essential to public health and safety. These meetings are ongoing and will continue.
“We are committed to continuing our service to the public as this situation moves forward,” said Tim “Ears” Estes, Marion County Commission Chairman.
