Cooper unopposed for 3rd term

HAMILTON - Incumbent Marion County Revenue Commissioner Barbara Cooper will run unopposed for the 2020 elections.
Qualifying for both Republican and Democratic candidates ended on Friday, Nov. 8, and Cooper remained the only candidate to register with a party. Independent candidates will not begin qualifying until after the March primary election on March 3, 2020.
“I’m am very thankful that God has given me the opportunity to seek reelection unopposed for my third term,” Cooper told the Journal Record. “I am very humbled and grateful to be given this opportunity.”
Cooper began working at the Marion County Courthouse in September 1993 under Marion County Probate Judge Annette Webb Haney.
