Merrill claims voter registration growing

HAMILTON -  Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill claimed that voter registration has grown significantly in the years since he was appointed as secretary at the Hamilton Kiwanis Club meeting on Monday, April 15, at Leonelli’s First Avenue Grill in Hamilton.
According to Merrill, there have been over 1,000,000 newly-registered voters in the four years since he was appointed.
“Since Jan. 19, 2015, we have registered 1,237,272 new voters. We now have a record 3,474,095 registered voters,” said Merrill.
