Panthers wallop Bears 17-1 Thursday

BEAR CREEK — The Hackleburg Panthers proved why they are tops in their region, walloping Phillips 17-1 Thursday, March 23.
Jaxon Fincher and Blaise Vickery shared pitching duties for the Panthers, with Fincher striking out 7 and allowing 4 hits for 1 run.  Vickery struck out 5 and allowed no hits.
Phillips’ Hunter Orman and Bo Green shared pitching duties, with Orman striking out 2 and allowing 9 hits for 15 runs.  Green struck out 3 and allowed 1 hit for 2 runs.

TUSCUMBIA — The Hackleburg Panthers bowed out in the second round of the playoffs this past week after two defeats to Covenant Christian on Thursday, April 28.
Hackleburg got a big win in the first game of the first round of playoffs against Coosa Christian of Gadsden.

Hackleburg wins over Phillips Tuesday

BEAR CREEK — The Hackleburg Panthers defeated the Phillips Bears in a huge win 15-1 on Tuesday, March 29, in Bear Creek.
Hackleburg started the scoring early on in the top of the first inning scoring five runs to Phillips’ one run.
Hackleburg didn’t score after that until the fourth inning, where they scored nine runs, before closing out the game early in the fifth inning, where they scored one run.

Hackleburg celebrates three victories last week

HACKLEBURG — The Hackleburg Panthers’ varsity baseball team won three last week against Brindlee Mountain, Tanner and Tharptown.
Brindlee Mountain:
The Hackleburg Panthers defeated Brindlee Mountain 11-1 Saturday, Feb. 19, thanks to a timely seven runs in a big second inning. Hackleburg batters contributing to the big inning included Jaquan Reeder, Carson Swinney, Joe Carter, Aydan Beard and Edge Weeks, who each had RBIs in the inning.
