MARION COUNTY — Seven Marion County baseball players were honored in the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s top baseball awards this year.
The ASWA released its 2022 Baseball All-State team, selecting a player from each position in each of the seven Alabama High School Athletic Association classifications in the state.

The Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) released its All-State teams on Sunday morning, June 13.
The 2021 ASWS All-State softball teams feature the best players in each of eight classes.
The All-State team is compiled through submissions from coaches to sports writers in their area and voted on by the ASWA prep committee. A pitcher, hitter, player and coach of the year is then selected in each class.
