HAMILTON — John Hunter Fikes was sworn in as the district judge for the 25th Judicial Circuit in Marion County on April 28 at the Marion County Courthouse in Hamilton.
He was appointed istrict judge in April by Governor Kay Ivey after the retirement of district judge Mark Hammitte.
Fikes was sworn in by 25th Circuit Court Judge Daryl Burt, with family, friends and officials in attendance.
Fikes’ family has resided in Hamilton nearly 200 years and includes his wife, Falon, and children, Townes, 8, and Tripp, 3, with another expected in the fall.
