HAMILTON — With a special kids’ zone, an amazing car show, live music and special performances, as well as lots of food, merchandise and arts and crafts vendors, you don’t want to miss the Buttahatchee River Fall Fest this Saturday.
Held in downtown Hamilton from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the 19th annual event is presented by the Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Performers scheduled to appear on stage during the festival include Noah Carter, Fulton Bridge Praise Team, Josie Beth Miller & Kensley Goodwin and Colie Guy.
Entertainment on the square includes the Elite Dancers, JV Dancers, Key Dancers, Show Choir “Movement” and the Bama Line Dancers.
Other festival highlights include:
• The BRFF Car Show, with registration from 8 a.m. until noon in the parking lot of the Hamilton High School. For more information, contact Kyle Jackson at 205-412-0905.
• Hoof or Paw’s Fifth Annual BRFF Motorcycle Ride with line up in the First State Bank parking lot and registration from 8:30-9 a.m. The ride will be cancelled if it’s raining.
• The Hamilton Red Ribbon Week Committee’s special booth where children can sign a pledge to “Say No To Drugs” and receive a free gift and be entered into a prize drawing.
• Check out all the “Scares on the Square” uniquely-decorated scarecrows on display outside the Marion County Courthouse and vote on your favorite at hamiltonchamberofcommerce.org. Voting ends on Halloween (Oct. 31) at 6 p.m.
• Walk-through the historic Hamilton-Sullins House, play a cash-prize winning game of cornhole, see the quilts on display and enjoy free refreshments of beans, cornbread and dessert. Donations are appreciated. Soft drinks and water will also be for sale. See more on the cornhole tournament in the “Calendar of Events” on page 5.
